Recognizing the importance of the information, police officers immediately formed a raiding team and reached the location.

A carefully planned operation was conducted in the area, following which the accused was successfully apprehended before he could escape.

Police records subsequently confirmed that Akash alias Golu had earlier been declared a Proclaimed Offender by the Hon’ble Court of JMFC-4, Karkardooma Courts, on April 15, 2026.

He was wanted in FIR No. 502/2019, registered under Sections 392/34 of the Indian Penal Code along with Sections 25, 27, and 54 of the Arms Act at Police Station Karawal Nagar.

After completing all required legal formalities, police formally arrested the accused.

Criminal Background of Akash @ Golu

Police described Akash alias Golu as a repeat offender with multiple criminal cases registered against him over the years.

The accused, approximately 30 years old, is a resident of Loni in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

According to police records, he has previously been involved in several serious criminal cases, including:

• Robbery under Sections 392 and 397 IPC at Karawal Nagar Police Station.
• Another robbery case registered at Karawal Nagar Police Station.
• Assault on public servants and obstruction of government duty registered at Geeta Colony Police Station.
• Theft case registered at Geeta Colony.
• Theft and possession of stolen property case registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station.

Officials stated that his criminal history indicated repeated involvement in offences relating to robbery, theft, and violent crime.

Investigators are now examining whether he may also be linked to additional pending criminal investigations.

Central District Police Arrest Woman Proclaimed Offender in Cheating Case

In another operation conducted on the same day, police received specific information regarding the whereabouts of a woman proclaimed offender residing in the Sonia Vihar area of Delhi.

Acting immediately on the intelligence input, the Anti-Narcotics Cell conducted another targeted raid.

The woman accused was successfully apprehended without incident.

Verification of official court records established that she had been declared a Proclaimed Offender on May 30, 2026, by the Hon’ble Court of JMFC-II, Tis Hazari Courts.

She was wanted in connection with FIR No. 75/2008, registered under Sections 420, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Kashmere Gate.

The case relates to allegations involving cheating and the use of forged documents.

After completing the prescribed legal procedures, the accused was formally arrested and produced before the competent court.
