The West District unit of Delhi Police has solved a sensational cash snatching case that took place in the Punjabi Bagh area earlier this month. Acting with speed, precision, and technical expertise, the staff of PP Madipur arrested three accused persons allegedly involved in the carefully planned crime and recovered Rs. 2.15 lakh in cash along with the motorcycle used during the offence.

The complainant informed police that he was working at a rented premises in Paschim Vihar Extension and had been asked by his landlord, Nand Kishor, to deliver Rs. 5 lakh to a person named Parveen. When the complainant reached the designated location and contacted Parveen’s wife Sarita, two unknown persons suddenly snatched the cash bundle and fled from the spot.
The complainant reportedly tried to chase the accused, but the snatchers managed to escape quickly. Cases involving cash snatching often unfold within seconds, leaving victims shocked and unable to react effectively. Criminals usually take advantage of surprise, panic, and speed to overpower the situation psychologically rather than physically.
Following the complaint, FIR No. 241/2026 was registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an immediate investigation was launched by Delhi Police.
