The GTB Enclave police team of Shahdara District has achieved a significant breakthrough by solving a house burglary case within a short period, arresting three habitual offenders and recovering stolen gold jewellery from their possession. The swift action followed a detailed investigation involving CCTV analysis, technical evidence, local intelligence inputs, and verification of criminal records.
The operation was carried out under the overall supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Shahdara District, and under the close guidance of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), GTB Enclave, and Station House Officer (SHO), GTB Enclave. Police officials stated that the successful detection of the case reflects the department’s continued efforts to identify repeat offenders and ensure the safety of residents.

The arrested accused have been identified as Manoj alias Jeetu alias Dantla (35), a resident of Nand Nagri, Delhi; Aakib alias Lale (25), a resident of Rahul Garden, Baheta Hajipur, Loni, Uttar Pradesh; and Mahender Mishra alias Bihari (35), a resident of Rajiv Nagar, Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi.
Police recovered stolen property including two gold rings, one gold mangalsutra, and one gold locket, which were identified as belonging to the complainant and seized according to legal procedures.
Burglary Incident Reported at GTB Enclave
According to Delhi Police, the burglary incident took place during the night of July 19, 2026, following which an E-FIR No. 80058846/2026 was registered at Police Station GTB Enclave under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 305/331(4)/317(2)/3(5).
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by Amit Kumar, who informed police that unidentified individuals had unlawfully entered his house and stolen valuable jewellery.
As per the complaint, the victim’s mother was sleeping on the second floor of the house when the accused allegedly entered the premises and committed theft from the ground floor. The stolen items included gold jewellery such as a mangalsutra, rings, anklets, and other valuables kept inside the house.
Following the registration of the case, GTB Enclave police immediately launched an investigation to identify the suspects and recover the stolen property.
Dedicated Investigation Team Formed
To crack the case, a dedicated team was constituted under the supervision of senior officers. The investigation team included Head Constable Sachin and Constable Abhishek, who worked under the direction of ACP GTB Enclave and SHO GTB Enclave.
The team began the investigation by carefully examining the crime scene and collecting available evidence. Police officials focused on analysing CCTV footage installed near the place of occurrence and along possible escape routes used by the suspects.
The CCTV examination provided important clues regarding the movement of the accused before and after the burglary. Investigators carefully analysed the footage to identify individuals involved in the crime and track their activities.
CCTV Analysis and Intelligence Inputs Help Identify Accused
Police said that CCTV footage played a crucial role in establishing the identity of the suspects. Along with technical evidence, the investigation team activated its local intelligence network and gathered information through reliable sources.
The photographs of suspected individuals were obtained from police databases and compared with the CCTV visuals collected during the investigation.
After detailed verification, the police confirmed the involvement of the accused persons in the burglary case. Their previous criminal records were also examined, which revealed their history of involvement in similar offences.

Three Habitual Offenders Arrested
Following sustained surveillance and verification of evidence, the GTB Enclave police team successfully apprehended all three accused persons.
Police stated that all arrested individuals have previous involvement in criminal activities and were identified as habitual offenders. According to investigators, they had earlier faced legal action in other criminal cases and were currently out on bail.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to their involvement in the present burglary case. They also disclosed their involvement in two additional burglary and theft cases registered within the jurisdiction of Police Station GTB Enclave.
Stolen Jewellery Recovered
During the operation, police recovered significant portions of the stolen jewellery from the possession of the accused.
The recovered items included:
- Two gold rings
- One gold mangalsutra
- One gold locket
The recovered articles were identified as the property stolen during the burglary and were taken into police custody following due legal procedures.
Police officials said further investigation is underway to recover the remaining stolen property and establish the complete sequence of events related to the crime.
Investigation Continues to Trace Other Cases
After the arrests, investigators are continuing efforts to determine whether the accused persons were involved in other similar incidents across Shahdara District and other areas of Delhi.
Police are examining their criminal backgrounds and analysing their possible links with other burglary and theft cases.
Officials said the investigation will also focus on identifying the entire network involved in such crimes and preventing future offences.
