Three Shooters Arrested With Pistols, 11 Live Cartridges and Scorpio Car
Gangland gang members based in Mathura were arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell before they could allegedly carry out firing at potential targets in the Delhi-NCR region as part of an extortion plan. The three accused were apprehended during a coordinated operation, with police alleging that they had entered Delhi to identify targets and prepare for the planned criminal activity.
According to the Delhi Police Special Cell, the three accused were apprehended in the Dwarka area during the intervening night of July 29 and 30, 2026, while they were allegedly moving around in a Scorpio vehicle and searching for potential targets. Police said the gang members were preparing to identify offices or vehicles that could be targeted with gunfire to create fear and facilitate extortion.
Three pistols, 11 live cartridges and the Scorpio vehicle were recovered during the operation.
The arrested accused have been identified as Kanaha Singh Jadaul alias Kanha Thakur, 26, whom police described as the alleged head of the Gangland gang; Suraj, 24; and Vallabha Charya, 30. Police said the Gangland members are sympathisers or followers of fugitive gangster Rohit Godara.
The arrests were made by a Special Cell/SWR team led by Inspector Manender Singh under the supervision of ACP Puran Chandra Pant.

Police Foil Alleged Extortion Firing Plan
The Special Cell said the operation was part of its continuing efforts to identify and apprehend hardened criminals, shooters and gang members allegedly involved in serious offences including murder, attempted murder, extortion and firing linked to extortion.
According to the police, intelligence gathered through manual sources and ground-level surveillance revealed information about the activities of the newly formed Gangland group. Investigators learned that the gang, operating from the Mathura region of Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly looking for targets in Delhi-NCR.
Police said the group was allegedly planning to fire at offices or vehicles belonging to selected targets in order to terrorise them and subsequently demand money.
After developing further information about the gang’s movements, the Special Cell allegedly received a specific input that members of Gangland had entered Delhi to search for potential targets.
A trap was subsequently laid in the Dwarka area.
The three suspects were intercepted during the intervening night of July 29 and 30, when they were allegedly travelling in a Scorpio and looking for possible targets. Police said the accused were apprehended before any firing or extortion-related attack could take place.
The recovery of three firearms and 11 live cartridges formed a key part of the case.
Three Firearms and 11 Live Cartridges Recovered
The Special Cell said the following items were recovered from the accused:
- One automatic .30-bore pistol with five live cartridges
- Two single-shot pistols, each with one live cartridge
- One Scorpio vehicle
Police said a case was registered in connection with the recovery under the Arms Act.
The case has been registered as FIR No. 178/2026, dated July 30, 2026, under Section 25 of the Arms Act at Police Station Special Cell. Further investigation is underway.
The police operation is significant because the suspects were allegedly intercepted at the stage of identifying targets rather than after an extortion firing had already occurred.
Kanaha Singh Jadaul Allegedly Formed Gangland
Police identified Kanaha Singh Jadaul alias Kanha Thakur as the alleged head of the Gangland gang.
According to the Special Cell, Jadaul is 26 years old and is the son of late Ramveer Singh Jadaul. Although he was born in Mathura, his family reportedly shifted to Jaipur around 15 years ago. His parents have since died, and he has a younger brother.
Jadaul graduated from Subodh College in Jaipur. Police alleged that during his college years he voluntarily entered the criminal world.
The Special Cell said Jadaul, along with an associate identified as Bhusan from Mathura, formed the Gangland group. According to investigators, members of the gang openly flaunted their criminal activities on social media.
Police further alleged that the group subsequently began following fugitive gangster Rohit Godara.
Jadaul is also alleged to have recruited associates including Vallabha Charya and Suraj into the gang.
The police have also linked Jadaul to a 2023 killing in Jaipur. According to the Special Cell, he and his associates allegedly killed a person by hitting him with a vehicle in connection with a contract killing.
Kanha Thakur’s Previous Criminal Cases
The Special Cell said Jadaul has been previously involved in several criminal cases.
His reported previous involvements include:
- FIR No. 36/2025, dated January 24, 2025, under Section 3/25 of the Arms Act at Malpura Gate Police Station, Jaipur City East.
- FIR No. 601/2023, dated September 4, 2023, under Sections 109/201/302/34 of the IPC at Shivdaspura Police Station, Jaipur City South.
- FIR No. 927/2025, dated December 13, 2025, under Section 3/25(1-B) of the Arms Act at Pratap Nagar Police Station, Jaipur City East.
These cases, according to police, form part of the background being examined as investigators continue their probe into the activities and network of the Gangland group.
Suraj Allegedly Joined Gang Over Dispute and Later Criminal Activities
The second accused, identified as Suraj, is 24 years old and a resident of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan.
According to the Special Cell, Suraj became associated with Kanaha Singh Jadaul after choosing a criminal path in connection with disputes over the division of ancestral land.
Police said Suraj also has previous criminal cases registered against him.
His reported previous involvements include:
- FIR No. 19/2022, dated January 8, 2022, under Sections 307/504/506/34 of the IPC at Nadbai Police Station, Bharatpur.
- FIR No. 80/2021, dated February 20, 2021, under Sections 149/341/323/147/307/379 of the IPC at Nadbai Police Station, Bharatpur.
- FIR No. 533/2022, dated September 18, 2022, under Section 9/25(6) of the Arms Act at Nadbai Police Station, Bharatpur.
The police are now examining his alleged role in the Gangland network and the activities that brought the three accused to Delhi.
Gym Trainer Allegedly Turned to Crime After Business Losses
The third accused, Vallabha Charya, is 30 years old and a resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
According to the Special Cell, Charya was born in Bharatpur and had previously worked as a gym trainer. In March 2026, he reportedly opened a gym in Jaipur.
Police said Charya came into contact with Kanaha Singh Jadaul after opening the gym and subsequently began working for the Gangland group voluntarily.
The Special Cell alleged that financial losses in his gym business contributed to his decision to seek quick money through criminal activities. Police said he subsequently joined Jadaul’s gang.
Investigators are expected to examine the nature of his association with the group and his alleged role in the Delhi operation.

Police Say Arrests Averted Planned Crimes Across Delhi-NCR
The Special Cell has described the arrests as significant because the accused were allegedly in Delhi while looking for suitable targets for an extortion-related firing operation.
According to the police, the gang members were searching for “soft targets” where firing at an office or vehicle could allegedly be used to create fear and facilitate demands for money.
The arrests therefore potentially prevented a planned sequence of crimes involving intimidation, firing and extortion, the police said.
The Special Cell is also investigating the broader network of the accused, including their alleged connections with other gang members and their claimed association with the Rohit Godara gang.
Focus on Emerging Gang Networks
The case also highlights the challenge posed by newly formed criminal groups that attempt to establish their identity and build connections with existing gangster networks.
According to the Delhi Police account, Gangland was formed by individuals from the Mathura region and later developed an association with followers of Rohit Godara. Investigators are examining the group’s activities, its members and its alleged plans in Delhi-NCR.
The police’s preliminary findings indicate that the group was allegedly attempting to use violence and intimidation as tools for extortion.
The recovery of firearms while the accused were allegedly searching for targets has given investigators an important lead into the group’s operational plans.
Authorities are expected to investigate whether the accused had already identified any potential targets, whether they had conducted reconnaissance in Delhi-NCR and whether other individuals were involved in the alleged extortion plan.
Investigation Continues
Following the arrests, the Special Cell has taken up further investigation into the case registered under the Arms Act. Police are examining the recovered weapons, ammunition, vehicle and other available evidence as part of the probe.
Investigators are also expected to establish the complete criminal network allegedly connected to the arrested individuals and determine whether the Gangland group had planned similar operations elsewhere.
The Delhi Police Special Cell said the arrests have helped avert potentially serious incidents of firing and extortion in the Delhi-NCR region.
The operation was conducted by the Special Cell/SWR team under the supervision of ACP Puran Chandra Pant, with Inspector Manender Singh leading the team. The arrest and recovery were formally communicated by Narra Chaitanya, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, SWR/Special Cell, Delhi.
With three alleged members of the Gangland gang now in custody, the investigation will focus on the group’s formation, its alleged links with other criminal networks, the source of the recovered firearms and the intended targets behind the alleged Delhi-NCR extortion plan.
